Department of Hematology and Oncology (Pediatrics)

The Hematology and Oncology Faculty at Children’s Hospital Karachi offer consultative services and treat all types of pediatric benign and malignant cancers including Pediatric hematological (blood) disorders and solid tumor cancers. Leukemia, lymphomas, aplastic anemia, immunodeficiency disorders as well as coagulation disorders are frequently treated by our physicians. We anticipate and plan for the possible early and late complications of the hematological conditions as well as manage and treat in accordance with the rapidly evolving therapeutic interventions.

Bone Marrow Transplant Unit

The bone marrow transplant unit at Children’s Hospital Karachi provides treatment of choice for conditions like leukemia, thalassemia, aplastic anemia and storage disorders. In presence and support of our highly qualified and experienced team members, we perform autologous and allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). Our BMT program director, Dr. Saqib Ansari has 18 years of transplant experience and has been the program director of BMT program at NIBD for four years.
